Over The Shadow 2015

In a world where life flows like a swirling current, intertwined with the mundane. Each day is filled with a flurry of activity, yet beneath the surface lies the profound inquiry: what determines who we are?

The work employs a multitude of light and shadow as symbols of the interplay between reality and illusion. The shadow puppets shift through time and space with remarkable speed, and within these figures, fate is etched more profoundly. They seem to embody greater helplessness and fewer options for choice. Consequently, the piece explores the value of life through these randomly encountered characters from daily life, while also echoing the themes of choice and fate that the characters face.

This introspection raises a compelling question: "Who truly controls this puppet show? Who writes our life stories?" Through this exploration, the artist weaves a narrative that challenges viewers to consider the intricate dance between fate and choice, urging them to take a closer look at their own lives and the stories they wish to tell.
